Sherwood FrostThis dessert wine/white port style is a brilliant clear, very pale yellow. The aromas are light yet lifted green apple, with a 'savoury oak' complex. This fortified Semillon was aged in oak with brandy and should be served chilled. This style makes a perfect aperitif or after dinner accompaniment to your dessert or cheese platter. The palate is clean, light and slightly sweet. Stucturally, the integration of acid, sugar and alcohol provide a clean, balanced finish, which gives the impression that the wine is lighter than it is. |
